These photographic images of scanned objects become metaphors for more abstract definitions of place such as ‘home’, ‘the familiar’ and ‘the foreign’. These came from my personal experience of leaving my home country to live and work in China. The objects are commonplace, but have been altered by their environment, which could be nature or a human hand. |
